🇺🇿 Uzbekistan visa and residence routes

No nomad visa, but a clearly defined IT Visa for developers, startup founders and investors in the IT Park ecosystem — Samarkand and Tashkent at some of Asia's lowest prices.

At least one route here publishes no income or savings floor at all (Employer-sponsored Work Permit / Visa). Documented routes cover remote work / self-employment, investment and employer-sponsored. Naturalisation is not a realistic prospect for most foreign residents here.

COST OF LIVING ~€800/MO SOLO ENGLISH ★☆☆ HEALTHCARE ★☆☆ 3 ROUTES IN DATABASE

How Uzbekistan compares

It is among the three cheapest destinations we cover, at roughly €800 a month for one person. English will not carry you far in daily life or administration — expect to need the local language. Healthcare is the weakest column in this country's profile; private cover matters more here than elsewhere.

Who these routes are built for

Based on the routes currently included in our database for Uzbekistan, these options suit people earning from remote work or their own foreign clients; investors with capital to commit.

They are a poor fit for retirees, since no passive-income route is published.

What the bar means in practice

The lowest income requirement, €2,300 a month on the IT Visa (specialist route), sits against living costs of about €800 a month. That is about 2.9 times what one person typically spends here, so the bar is set well above the cost of actually living in the country — these routes are screening for comfort, not survival. If that is out of reach, the nearest lower bar in Asia-Pacific is 🇰🇷 South Korea, which starts at €2,200 a month.

Routes at a glance

IT Visa (investor route) Investment €9,200 saved 1–2 mo Yes
Employer-sponsored Work Permit / Visa Employer-sponsored none published 1–3 mo Yes

The financial bar is the main money test for that route — a monthly income floor, or the savings to show where no income floor applies. Figures are for a single applicant; most programmes scale upward for a partner or children.
